Privacy Policy
Apps covered: TunedSax and TunedStrings · Last updated: August 5, 2026
TunedSax and TunedStrings ("the apps") are developed by Ivan and Adriene. This policy explains
what information the apps collect, why, and how it's used. We built these apps to be simple
practice tools — we collect the minimum needed to understand how they're used and to fix
problems.
Information We Collect
-
Usage & interaction data. We use Google's Firebase Analytics to record
which features are used — for example, toggling the drone, changing the tuning standard, or
selecting an instrument. We do not track which screens you visit automatically; that
collection is disabled.
-
Device identifier. Firebase Analytics assigns an app-specific, per-device
identifier (Apple's "identifier for vendor") to group events from the same device. This is
not Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA), and the apps do not use it for advertising or
tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
-
Diagnostic data. Basic technical information (app version, OS version,
device model) is included automatically with analytics events to help us debug issues.
Information We Do Not Collect
- No account or sign-in is required, and we don't collect your name, email, or other contact
details through the app.
- Microphone audio is used only for real-time pitch detection while the app is open. It is
processed on-device and is never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere.
- Any PDFs or backing tracks you import for practice stay on your device — they are never
uploaded.
- We don't use advertising SDKs, and we don't sell or share your data with data brokers or
advertisers.
Third-Party Services
Analytics is provided by Google Firebase. Google processes this data on our behalf under its
own privacy terms — see
Firebase's privacy and security page
and Google's Privacy Policy
for details on their practices and data retention.
Children's Privacy
The apps are general-audience tools and are not directed at children under 13. We do not
knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your Choices
You can limit analytics collection at any time from your device's Settings app
(Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements) or by disabling Analytics for the app
under Settings → [App Name] if that option is present.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above. Continued use of the apps after a change
means you accept the updated policy.
